The Battlefield 3 beta is completely swing and on the weekend some clever chaps decided to generate a mod for that PC version in the game..The gamers modded the Operation Metro map to guide 128 players instead from the standard 32 because why not right We knew these things were gonna happen but everything you may not have seen coming was EA and DICEs response..According to Rock Paper Shotgun In an official statement around the forum which now seems like its been pulled they claimed that playing on the hacked servers can ca use your account to become compromised stats to get altered or other issues to arise which may lead to having your bank account being banned by EA. If your money does get banned it mean any other EA game you've on your own account would also be unavailable..YIKES That is quite a punishment. Especially considering some of these mods are popping up in the official Battlelog browser. Considering that DICE has recently come toward the Battlefield 3 is intended for the PC and being hand-crafted for your PC I understand they may be protective of the product. But punishing the consumers who pay for that product simply for experimenting after which threatening all one other products they covered from you seems just mean-spirited..What do you guys think relating to this Does DICE and EA contain the right to do this Have you seen any hacked servers or mods for your beta Do you think hacking and modding for PC games is simply something publishers should relax a bit about Let me me know your thinking in the comment below.
